BBC Sowter 106sa Analog Mixing Mastering Transformer Clipper Saturator

The wondrous and amazing Sowter LL106sa transformers! They don't like processing low low information (get a bit bumpy) - but what they do to mids, high mids & highs is both sublime and amazing. The orchestral crescendo peaks at approx +1.5 db - run the session through these transformers at +10db - push them into their silky saturation - and they peak at around - 10db !!! - you can literally save up to 10db! It's the most transparent bus glue I've ever heard. Yes you can hear the music sounding more settled and "in place" - but none of the artifacts compression would bring. Vocals - even out of control vocalists like the one you hear in the video are kept in place - plus the soft saturation tends to deal with frequency peaks. Everything just sounds smoother, nicer and Better run through these bad ass beauties.
