The 16337/16338 Ernakulam-Okha Express also called as Okha Express is bi-weekly Express train running between the cities of Kochi in Kerala and Okha in Gujarat. It mainly connects the people of Kerala living in Saurashtra region. It mainly runs and serve the people of the states of Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat and Kerala. The time table of the train is amended during monsoon season and the train reaches Ernakulam late by 2 to 3 hours of the original time but the monsoon time table does not affects its return journey. Few years before during monsoon season the train had its service only till Hapa but after that during monsoon also the train run till Okha.
The train first used to run between Cochin and Ahmedabad as Cochin-Ahmedabad Express and then it was extended up to Rajkot making it Cochin-Rajkot Express. During that time the train used to start from Cochin Harbour Terminus station. At that time the train had a single service in a week. After Ernakulam Junction Railway Station was developed the train's origin was shifted to Ernakulam Junction. One more train was introduced after which train had bi-weekly service.
The 16337/Okha - Ernakulam Express has averages speed of 53 km/hr and covers 2250 km in 42 hrs 30 mins.
The 16338/Ernakulam - Okha Express has averages speed of 50 km/hr and covers 2250 km in 44 hrs 40 mins.
Both trains are hauled by a Diesel Locomotive Shed, Ernakulam based WDM-3A twins.

Ernakulam Junction railway station (also known as Ernakulam South, code: ERS) is the biggest railway station in the city of Kochi in Kerala, India. Despite being the busiest station in Kochi city by passenger traffic it only the third busiest station by the number of trains in Kochi city limits. The busiest by the number of trains is Aluva followed by Ernakulam town station.Controlling 376 train routes at a time, it is the busiest railway junction station in South India. It is an A1 classified station operated by the Southern Railway zone of the Indian Railways and comes under the Thiruvananthapuram railway division. Ernakulam Junction is also the first fully disabled-friendly railway station in India.
Ernakulam Jn is a railway junction with lines branching off from it to four different directions :
North towards Chennai/Bangalore (via Palakkad) and Mumbai (via Shoranur–Kozhikode)

Okha railway station is a railway station in Okha, Gujarat. It belongs to Rajkot Division of Western Railway in India.
The Okha railway station is one of the western broad-gauge railway stations in India. It serves the port of Okha. There are trains to destinations in India like Mumbai, Somnath, Howrah, Nathdwara, Gorakhpur, Puri, Guwahati, Rameswaram, Kochi, Tuticorin, Varanasi, Dehradun and Jaipur.
Jamnagar–Okha metre-gauge line was opened for traffic in the year 1922 by Jamnagar & Dwarka Railway. Later Jamnagar & Dwaraka Railway was merged into Saurashtra Railway in April 1948. Later it was undertaken by Western Railway. Gauge Conversion of Hapa–Okha section was later completed in 1984 by Indian Railways.
