Australian Aventures-The State of Tasmania (Part 1)

For my final adventrues in the land down under, we headed to the southernmost Australian state--Tasmania! We took the overnight ship "Spirit of Tasmania" from Geelong and arrived Davenport, TAS early morning the next day. We then drove three hours to reach the state capital of Hobart. We took a stroll around the city and visited a museum. The next day was one of the most unforgettable hikes I've ever done, that is our trek to Mt Wellington. Since it was winter, the peak of the mountain was covered in snow when we arrived. The snow made it challenging to climb up, and it was awfully cold and worse, we encountered strong winds plus icy trails that its difficult to get a foothold. The sun came out before we descended such that it turned the snow into slippery ice, so going down was even more challening. In spite of the very strong winds I decided to still stop by at the Pinnacle Observatory to take pictures of the city skyline and other landscapes. It was a very unforgettable experience that we will never forget!
