Jamaica News Alice Waugh Fined $250,000 for Defecating at Crab Circle.
Disgraced vendor Alice Waugh, who was videotaped relieving herself at her station at the popular Crab Circle food spot in the Corporate Area, was yesterday fined $250,000 for breaching the Public Health Act.

Waugh was charged on an indictment for defecating in a food handling facility. She pleaded guilty to the offence on a previous occasion in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court. Health officials shut down the stalls at Crab Circle after a video of Waugh surfaced on social media. In it, she is seen defecating in her area and cleaning herself with toilet paper which she then disposes in a bucket.

In a previous STAR story, Chief Public Health Inspector Grayson Hutchinson described the vendor's action as "a disgusting and unpleasant act".

The fine was imposed by Senior Parish Judge Sanchia Burrell, who indicated that if the monies were not paid, Waugh faces 30 days' imprisonment.
