Hey everyone it's Russ here, I've got a metal detecting story here that has caused a "boom" in the world of metal detecting discussion.

Six year old Oliver Hudd was hoping to find gold or other treasures in his grandmother's garden in Dartford, Kent. Instead, he and his father were "blown away" to discover an unexploded WWI bomb. Young Oliver and father "exploded" into grandma's house, where they quickly summoned emergency personnel.

Police cordoned off the road while the bomb squad recovered the 100 year old bomb, which was found to contain no explosives.
Oliver's father Jason Hudd purchased the detector off E-bay for 75.00, little did he know how much of a "blast" the detector was going to be.

Oliver has been told not to dig in the garden anymore, on the off chance he may find a live one.
