In this video, we'll show you how to mount a security escutcheon on your door using BASICS by Formani escutcheons (BVEIL-KT).

1. 0:00 Fit the Lock:
Insert the lock straight into the door.
Place the cylinder and check its function.
2. 0:10 Mark Drill Holes:
Place the inner escutcheon on the outside of the door and carefully mark the drill holes.
Repeat on the inside of the door.
Remove the rose, cylinder, and lock.
Pre-Drill Preparation:
Make a small hole before drilling.
3. 0:23 Drill Holes:
Drill ø7mm holes from the inside to the center of the door.
Drill ø9mm holes from the outside to the center of the door.
Remove all drilling waste and clean the holes thoroughly.
Refit Lock and Cylinder:
4. 0:33 Fit the lock and cylinder again.
Ensure the profile cylinder does not protrude more than 2mm beyond the security escutcheon.
Note: FORMANI security hardware is suitable for doors with a thickness of 38 to 42 mm. For thicker doors up to 56 mm, use the special set of 65mm extended bolts supplied. Cut to size (door thickness + 12mm).
6. 0:43 Fit Outer Escutcheon:
Check if the key works smoothly.
Place the outer escutcheon with cylinder protection against the door over the cylinder.
Check if rubber O-rings are needed to fit the cylinder. Use 1, both, or no O-rings.
7. 1:07 Fit Inner Escutcheon:
Fit the inner escutcheon with the bolts and tighten them with an Allen key.
8. 1:17 Final Checks:
Ensure the key works from the outside with cylinder protection.
Click the cover rose on the inner escutcheon.
