I hear these things but can’t always remember the origin…. This quote I had to Google…
‘Your perception of me is a reflection of you, my reaction to you is an awareness of me’.
Apparently there is no single author but if you know differently please let me know - I feel like someone must have written it 🤣.

There is a suggestion it evolved from teachings in psychology and spirituality and is about projection. Possibly originating from Carl Jung’s statement “Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.”

Carl Jung believed that we all have parts of ourselves — both light and shadow — that we don’t fully recognise or accept. These hidden traits often get projected onto others.
I agree… Slowly working on this. In other words, the qualities we notice, admire, or dislike in someone else can actually be a mirror for aspects of ourselves…
