The summer heat is real, and the Cali sun 🌞 hits a bit different 🥵. Prevent burnout, and stay cool in the garden with some of these wardrobe tips.

1. Baggy linen pants (good air circulation, sun protection, and helps a bit with mosquitoes)
2. Farmer's Defense sleeves (UV protection, shield against scrapes and thorny plants, extra cooling when wet)
3. UPF-rated Rash Guard (If it's good for the beach or pool, then it's good for the garden too. Extra cooling when it's wet.)
4. Dr. CHILLY (freezes in room temp water, but freezes even faster in the freezer. I bought 3 to rotate it out.)
5. Wet Cooling Towel (Must be wet, extra cooling if frozen beforehand. Tie it around head or neck. Skin contact is what makes it work).
6. Wide-Brim Hat (Even better if you get this one that has solar cell fans, for the sun, wind, and bugs.)
7. Umbrella Hat (Hands-free wider area of shade. A little uncomfortable, and can get caught on branches and gates, but wonderful for extra sun protection. Might be a little wind resistant. 🪽)


Most importantly, though, stay hydrated and well-rested. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are dangerous.
