The FlowHive is a marvel and they have created many improvements with the FlowHive 2. In this video, I put it all together and explain what's been done for improvement. Tools that you may find handy!

Since I made this video, I have had several honeybee scouts visiting the box. I did put swarm commander queen lure on q-tip swabs inside a ziplock bag with the corners cut off and placed that in the super. I will update about the FlowHive 2 once it's occupied by honey bees. I may also just do a split later on when prime swarm season has passed if I don't get a "volunteer" swarm.

I prefer Acorn frames over Mann Lake or Pierco.. I have them all and Acorn deforms less and the bees take to Acorn frames better with the heavy wax coating.

Beekeeping practices are the same no matter what style of enclosure you house them in. It's simply a matter of what will work best for you and within your operating budget. Yes you still have to obtain honeybees.
Yes, you still have to be a good steward of the honey bee and must provide for all of their material needs.
Some bees may require treatments in order to help them resist pest and chemical challenges.
