OCEAN WAVES - Studio Ghibli's Most Underrated Movie (Film Analysis)

Ocean Waves is a little-known movie produced by the famous Japanese anime studio, Studio Ghibli. It’s often considered one of the worst Ghibli movies in existence, but is it really? In this analysis, I take a look at three reasons why Ocean Waves is the most underrated Studio Ghibli film. Enjoy the video essay, and hopefully by the end of it, you’d be able to give Ocean Waves the second chance it deserves.

Ocean Waves is directed by Tomomi Mochizuki, and written by Kaori Nakamura. It is scored by Shigeru Nagata, and stars Nobuo Tobita, Toshihiko Seki, and Yoko Sakamoto
