WHAT IS HORIZONTAL LIFELINE ? 3D ANIMATION

Описание к видео WHAT IS HORIZONTAL LIFELINE ? 3D ANIMATION

A lifeline is a safety system that primarily comes in two types: horizontal lifelines and vertical lifelines.

Where should lifelines be installed, how should they be selected, and how should the layout plan be designed?

Vertical Ladder and Vertical Lifeline:
For climbing on vertical ladders, a vertical lifeline should be installed as a fall arrest system. If the ladder does not extend beyond the desired level (roof), an extended vertical lifeline should be preferred.

What should the certification of a vertical lifeline be?

A fixed vertical lifeline falls under Category III of the 2016/425 PPE regulation and is personal protective equipment. It should have a CE certificate according to the EN 353-1:2014+A1:2017 standard.
Horizontal Lifeline:
In work conducted on roofs where there is a risk of falling, a fixed horizontal lifeline should be installed at points where the risk of falling exists.

Areas where there is a risk of falling on roofs include:
- Along the edges,

- Roof lights and ventilation ducts on the roof,
- Lines should not allow for pendulum falls.
- When transitioning from one line to another, additional fall risks should not be created, and if necessary, transition lines should be installed.
- The material for horizontal lifelines should be resistant to corrosion.

Where can horizontal lifelines be installed?
Roofs, crane paths, crane tops, vehicle (truck) top work, and machine top maintenance.

What should be the certification for a fixed horizontal lifeline?

A fixed horizontal lifeline should have EN 795:2012 Type C for a single user and CEN /TS 16415:2013 certification for multiple users.
ARGA SAFETY® is a manufacturer of fall arrest equipment and lifelines. As a manufacturer, they hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 Integrated Management System certificates. All fall arrest equipment complies with CE Type Approval certification according to the 2016/425 PPE regulation Module B. ARGA SAFETY® has Module D certification for interim inspections of fall arrest equipment according to the 2016/425 PPE regulation.

ARON fixed horizontal lifeline can be installed for up to 8 people with a maximum span of 30 meters. All components are made of stainless steel and polished for high corrosion resistance. The materials are steel-based, and there is no welded production. The A5 Trolley has 2 sealed bearing rollers, passes through without attaching to intermediate brackets, and has a self-locking system on itself. The wide anchorage eye is compatible with certified carabiner types.
