In this clip from a forthcoming episode of the Brains & Banter Podcast, Dr. Daniel M. Ingram (MD MSPH) explains that spiritual development via meditation is not linear but in fact unfolds in surprising leaps and bounds.

Daniel is a seasoned meditator and author of the book Mastering the Core Teachings of the Buddha: An Unusually Hardcore Dharma Book, often abbreviated MCTB, which has influenced the practice of many worldwide.

Dr. Ingram also volunteers to lend organization, structure, administration, networking, vision, funding, incubation, and other forms of support to the Emergent Phenomenology Research Consortium (EPRC) and is the founder and acting CEO and Board Chair of Emergence Benefactors, a charity dedicated to supporting the EPRC.

Informed by medical ethics and the mandate for informed consent, his current research interests include finding ways to bring clinical competence, data-backed diagnostic and management strategies, and options for disconcerting emergent phenomena to therapists and other healthcare providers, particularly those in emergency medicine, as well as to use scientific methods to help emergent practitioners optimize their practice for good outcomes and to match their risk tolerances.

He was a board-certified emergency medicine physician for 12 years, mostly working in major trauma centers. His MSPH is in epidemiology.
