Bagmati River Basin Improvement Project is under implementation from 2071 BS.
Major Components of the Project-
Developing early alarm system, help for policy formation regarding resource management
involvement of different stakeholders with participation
establishment of the information center
construction of road, footpath, cycle lane, green belts, open space, parks, sitting area, play area, public toilets, and more
construction of Dhap and Nagmati dam for continuous flow of water in the river
construction of wastewater treatment plants in the different area
maintain water recharging systems

High Powered Committee for Integrated Development of the Bagmati Civilization has had planned 30 new parks with greenery besides 28 Km river bank. From Sindarijal to Balkhu (both sides).
