💜 Adult Child is a coming-of-age song speaking of the hope of freedom in wait for adulthood and the struggles to fit in the mold afterward. As Koreans, the members have also addressed the anxiety stemming from the government-enforced military service along with a salute to the country’s armed forces.

It's an adapted song by RM, SUGA, and Jin of BTS of Common's song "Celebrate" about how they have become twenty years old, but it isn't anything great. Rather, they have just become adults--average, ordinary adults. They mention Peter Pan and Neverland and how they expected reaching adulthood to be something special, but there's just school, maybe the army, and just stumbling around as usual. The sweet, comforting relationship with the family is likewise over as they are no longer children.

When RM was asked: What made you create this song? He answered "People told me I have an old soul. Now that I'm an adult, it feels like I've changed from 'child adult' to 'adult child'. Us three are all adults now and we've realized nothing much has changed."
