You probably think public clouds are closed, proprietary, secret, magic black boxes, which somehow provides *aaS in return of your credit card details. This talk will go through on the key concept and patterns on how actual managed public cloud services are designed, with a potential of virtual infinite scalability. The subject service will be Kubernetes itself. We will see how the cluster components are split up and deployed, how the control plane becomes managed, how it is operated with open technologies behind the scenes, and how it is operated so effectively that the user may get the control-plane part for free.
