Fortune Creek to Gallagher Head Lake | On The Trail

Описание к видео Fortune Creek to Gallagher Head Lake | On The Trail

There’s nothing quite like a trip through the woods of the Pacific Northwest ending at a picturesque mountain lake. That’s exactly what Driving Line will show you how to do on this episode of “On the Trail.” In it, they take on the Fortune Creek Trail that leads all the way up to the beautiful Gallagher Head Lake. The trail is narrow and treacherous, and you should always bring along some gear to help you fix your rig if it breaks down—which is much more likely than you might think.

Back to host another episode is Driving Line’s own Mike Sabounchi, and joining him on the trail ride are Luke Shuman of Hazzard Fab Worx and Kyle Saito. To get them safely up the mountain, Mike brought his trusty 2009 Lexus GX470 with an Eibach lift and 35-inch Nitto Recon Grappler all-terrain tires, Luke brought his 1991 LS-swapped Jeep Wrangler with a CJ nose and 40-inch Nitto Trail Grappler tires on TR beadlock wheels, and Kyle brought out his 1991 Nissan Patrol on 37-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires.

As we mentioned earlier, bringing gear for repair and recovery is critical, and that point was proven early on when they were able to save some people stranded on the side of a trail with a flat tire. Then right after fixing that problem, Luke’s Jeep sprung an oil leak, and they needed to plug that up before they could continue on. You never know what will happen, and if you aren’t prepared, you can quickly get stranded out in the middle of nowhere with no cell reception to call for help.

Of course, if you follow their guide and go with someone who knows the area, you can have a great time, even if things don’t go perfectly according to plan. Just know your limits and don’t take on something that your rig isn’t prepared for. This really is one of the best Jeep trails in Washington state and the Cascade Range.
