In this video I briefly explain what gypsy jazz is and some of the vital elements of this style, pioneered by Django Reinhardt in 1930’s Paris with violinist Stephane Grapelli. If you’re into Latin guitar or acoustic guitar of any kind, exploring gypsy jazz is very much worth your time - the scales, melodies and ornaments played will inform and compliment your playing in any style.
