Shane: Hey guys. Shane here with Etrailer.com. Today, I have a 2020 Ford F250 Super Duty pickup truck. And I want to walk you through how to install Torklift's camper tie downs for the rear. These are going to be custom fit brackets. They're going to mount to your frame rail.

And when we compare them to other types of tie downs, the only ones that are available for the 202 Ford F250 are going to be Stake Pocket tie downs. And what they do is they slide in your stake pocket and then they have a wing nut you basically clamp it on the inside of your bed.In my opinion, I really like these. I think these are going to be the way to go over the Stake Pocket ones. Stake Pockets, when they slide down in your stake pocket may have a foam piece there, but over time they could damage your bed. Our beds aren't really as thick as they used to be.

And when you're cranking down your camper to tie it down, so it stays secured, you're putting a lot of pressure inside that stake pocket. And the only thing really holding it on is the nut tightened down that bracket on the inside of your bed.If you're going to pick a way to go, I would go this way. Again, frame mounted, not going to require any drilling whatsoever. It's going to mount directly to a factory hole in the frame. What these are going to be designed to do is if you have an in-bed camper, these are going to allow you to secure them down.

Keep in mind, they're not going to come with the tie down straps, these are just the brackets. And they're only going to come for the rear. So if you need some for the front, you can find those here etrailer.com.Not only are these going to attach to the frame rail, but you're going to have a tube that's going to slide into your cross tube on your hitch. So we're getting a lot of added security, not only from the frame rail, but also from our hitch when we have our camper secured down in our bed. The nice thing about these, is let's say we use our bed for other things.

We don't want these on, these are removable. So when we're not hauling our camper, we can pull these out. You can see maintains a very nice clean look on the vehicle. Each arm's going to have two settings or two holes. So you can have it further out like this, or it can be slid in to that location.So we if think about it, we're going to travel with this being an F250, good size truck, probably going to have a good size camper in it. We want the security knowing, or we want the feeling, knowing that our camper is going to be secured in the back of our truck if we're going on a long trip. That's why I'm going to suggest the Torklift. These are going to give you peace of mind knowing, going on that long trip, it's going to be secured, you're not going to have to worry about it coming apart. You're not going to worry about it damaging anything else on your vehicle, because it is attached to the frame of the truck.If I'm going down the highway and I see a camper in the bed of a truck strapped down to Stake Pocket tie downs, I would be a little bit worried driving next to them that those tie-downs in that stake bed, or that bed's going to hold up enough to hold that heavy camper in the bed of the truck. If I see these, knowing that they mount directly to the frame rail, I know that that camper is secured.So your installation, you're going to take the coiled end of your pull wire, there's going to be a hole right in the bottom. You're going to take your coiled end, you're going to feed it up and out of the end like that. You're going to take one of your bolts, and you're going to put a star washer on it. Thread it onto the coiled end of your wire. You're going to pull it through just like that. You're going to have a plate that looks like this. You'll notice inaudible 00:04:07 on the bracket, going to feed this on. Going to match it like that.We're going to take off our pull wire. Going to put on a flat washer, lock washer, and a nut. We're going to tighten that down. You want to make sure that this plate doesn't twist, make sure it's level and the gap is the same, or it matches your tube there. Now we're going to tighten it, and then torque it with a 3/4 inch socket. Once you have that torqued down, this hole here is going to face towards the front. We're going to slide it into our hitch receiver tube or cross tube. There we go.Take a flat washer, put it over your other bolt, and you're going to take this spacer block, put it over the top like that. We're going to take this two inch by two inch square block, it's going to go in between this bracket and our frame
