Ask the Pastor - Episode One

This limited web series corresponds with a Summer sermon series called Ask the Pastor. We received dozens of questions and didn't have time to answer them all, so we are doing that here. In each episode, we'll tackle several questions using a Biblical worldview.

This week's questions:
Our church's stance on miraculous gifts: Why are we cessationist? What biblical evidence can we use to explain this belief?
Why was God so active in showing His power in the Old Testament but seems to have taken a step back since then?
Did Judas go to hell?
When/if did dinosaurs roam the earth? With people? If so, who? Where does the Bible speak about them?
Why did God tell Abraham to kill Isaac? Doesn't that give crazy people the same idea today and rationale to think it's okay because "God told them so?"
Are we all descendants of Adam and Eve?
Explain reasons for infant baptism v. conscious decision to be baptized and the importance of being baptized once accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior.
What key issues or doctrines should we look for in a church?
What breed of guard dog would God choose: German Shepherd, Rottweiler, or Chihuahua?
