First time beating this boss, so i was playing super safe. It is possible to kill him like 2 times faster with this build, you have DPS windows untill timer will go off and black puddle will be dropped, and you can circle around him while he is casting shadows.
For us boss is pretty dangerous as his shadows attack and black puddles block our lifesteal, and Defunct Surgeon eats your HP while active pretty fast.
