00:50 delayed rhythm variation for a push or tuck

01:56 leaders precaution - not accidentally leading on 6 or 1 as you move back

02:20 follower precaution - wait to feel the lead, don't self lead forward on 1 if connection is still building and your leader's initiations make sense. It will probably be a delayed rhythm!

02:35 connection - might stay light until feeling more like a "spring" stretching into 1, then leading for &2. Might also be maintained building from the end of 4 all the way until after 6.

03:00 hitches - not every delayed rhythm is a hitch, and hitches don't have to be associated with double resistance. Basic concept is pushing off the front foot to make the hips swing back. Your partner should feel your weight get to your heel on 1.

03:45 normally hitches are introduced as an "open" version

04:00 followers have options with the closed hitch, can potentially move forward or either side pass

04:25 footwork variation. Walk - walk for 5, 6. Triple step for 1&2. The lead is a delayed rhythm and occurs on &2.
