Ford Escape - SHIFTER STUCK IN "P" PARK MODE? (2008 - 2012)

Описание к видео Ford Escape - SHIFTER STUCK IN "P" PARK MODE? (2008 - 2012)

Gear shift lever stuck in P Parking mode and isn't moving when you press the brake pedal? In this video I will show you shift lock release on Ford Escape ( 2008 | 2009 | 2010 | 2011 | 2012 | XL | XLT | LIMITED | HYBRID ).

Ford Escape is equipped with a brake-shift interlock feature (shift lock release or override) . What that means is that you have to press the brake pedal to move the shifter from Park to Reverse, Neutral or Drive. Sometimes when the shifter gets stuck, all you have to do is remove the cover cap from the BTSI ( Brake Transmission Shift Interlock) and press it. While holding the BTSI pressed, try moving the shifter. That should do it.

Make sure the vehicle is turned off and parking brake applied while attempting this, just to be safe.

Thanks for watching.
