Age-Adjusted D-Dimer Levels Are Predictive of Pulmonary Embolism in Patients With COVID-19

Описание к видео Age-Adjusted D-Dimer Levels Are Predictive of Pulmonary Embolism in Patients With COVID-19

Hypercoagulability has been noted in COVID-19 patients, leading to increased rates of venous thromboembolism (VTE), which may contribute to the overall mortality related to the disease. Existing studies have looked at the relationship between d-dimer levels and VTE in COVID-19 patients and some have attempted to identify a d-dimer level where empiric anticoagulation started. Our study was designed to further contribute to existing knowledge on d-dimer levels in COVID patients and to attempt to identify a d-dimer level consistently associated with VTE in COVID-19 patients.
