An Unusual RNA Quadruplex Directs Gene Silencing in vivo - Riley Petersen

Описание к видео An Unusual RNA Quadruplex Directs Gene Silencing in vivo - Riley Petersen

Poly(UG), or pUG, RNAs are uridine-guanosine dinucleotide repeat sequences that are highly abundant in eukaryotes. pUG sequences can fold into an unusual Z-form quadruplex, the pUG fold. The pUG fold drives gene silencing in vivo and cannot be predicted by current machine learning approaches such as AlphaFold 3. In this talk, Riley discusses the pUG fold’s unique structure and function.
