Keeping track of so much rolling stock, along with countless points and switches, a database was the only answer. We originally developed the database to manage the stock and timetables. The opportunity arose to allow us to track the startup of the railway layout and identify any faults that might have occurred. It is a safety net to ensure that the layout has come up as expected and give peace of mind .
