Bangladesh is experiencing an uprising. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned and fled the country after anti-government student protests led to the deaths of 90 people on Sunday and a further 20 people today.

Reports suggest that the former PM has fled to India amid speculation that she will soon travel to London. The head of the army, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, said in a televised address that an interim government will be formed. How has this been allowed to happen?
