WEBINAR - The Importance of Data in the Veterinary Community

Описание к видео WEBINAR - The Importance of Data in the Veterinary Community

Celeritas’s goal with this ongoing series of peer discussions is to bring together the veterinary and animal health community to share insight on the current state of the industry and how technology will continue to challenge the status quo. With this most recent conversation, we explored the opportunities around data in animal health and veterinary sciences.

Key Points

• Visualization is a big focal point in the way we present and collect data. Organizing high level data requires clearer visualization than raw data can allow for.
• Internal data will continue to call for more attention on trends and benchmarks than external data.
• Heat maps for clinics are needed, especially when it comes to aiding in the much needed reform of veterinarian scheduling.
• Regulations like GDPR in the EU continue to present new challenges and roadblocks when it comes to data collection and utility.
• Working through these new challenges will require creativity and a stern focus on what data is needed and how it must be used.
• We need innovation when it comes to the standard systems for processing and organizing data. There is a hole when it comes to tailored systems for data processing in the veterinary and animal health space.
• In lieu of tabular reports, data should be providing more powerful insights.
• When it comes to technology and data, system integration will always be a barrier until it is put into more focus.

Conclusion:
This month’s conversation proved to be fruitful and enthusiastic, with more than double the amount of attendees and participants than our first peer discussion on technology in October. Value and insight was free-flowing and the conversation took some great turns into what individuals from various roles are facing for the road ahead when it comes to the utility of data.
