2 years ago i attended my first CancerCon

we were in the beginning of covid but it already felt like it had been years

i was coming off my second melanoma diagnosis and felt more isolated than ever

i had been wanting to attend CancerCon for a few years but traveling to attend never fit into my budget or schedule

so when covid forced CancerCon to go digital, it was one of the few things I was grateful to covid for

fast forward to this year, when i got to attend CancerCon IN PERSON

not only was it in minneapolis but i was also awarded an attendance scholarship!

i saw amazing speakers like Susan Moser and Shannon Wyant

i sat next to the ‪@stupidcancer‬ founder Matthew Zachary and met ceo Alison Silberman

i made incredible new friends like and most importantly, i FINALLY got to hug Ashley and Uma in person!

spending time with ashley and uma was like meeting someone for the first time that your soul has known forever

so of course i took them for cheese curds 😉

thank you stupid cancer and CancerCon for being everything i needed that weekend and more!
