What are Qualitative Surveys?

When talking about open text survey questions, one strategy I suggested was to initially treat these questions as if they were independent and self-contained. I also said that these questions are added to surveys that mostly have quantitative response questions.

In this sixth video in the “Creating qualitative data by asking people questions” playlist, I am going to introduce our next method for creating qualitative data: qualitative surveys. These surveys are more intentional in their focus on creating mostly qualitative data. Qualitative surveys also facilitate the combining of multiple responses together to create richer data sets to begin our analysis.
