"We are the 99%" is the slogan being used by the Occupy-movement. The phrase indirectly refers to the concentration of income and wealth among the top earning 1%.

There is much said about the positive changes that are happening on the African continent these days. Seven of the fastest growing economies are to be found in Africa. Trade and business with western countries is booming. There is also less wars and talk about more stable governance.

In contrast to this positive and optimistic picture that is being portrayed we are also witnessing another important tendency that is happening on the African continent; the civilian protest movements in different shapes and ways, all over the continent.
