To hit a HIGH SPIN shot, try the following:
1️⃣ Use a NARROW arc. If you don’t know what this means, it means the handle of the club doesn’t travel very far in relationship to the clubhead. In other words, use some wrist hinge. This allows the club to work more vertically and reduce interference between the clubface and the ball.
2️⃣ Open the face slightly. SPEED is needed to create spin, and opening the face allows us to add SPEED without sending the ball too far past the target. 3️⃣ Contact the ball slightly towards the TOE of your club. When we make contact on the TOE, we decrease the smash factor of the shot. The ball comes off “dead” or SLOWER. This ALLOWS US to swing faster (speed creates spin) to send the ball the distance we want!
