Firefighters work to control the Airport Fire in Orange County, California

Firefighters used bulldozers, helicopters and planes to control a rapidly spreading blaze near a remote-controlled airplane airport in Orange County, California.

The fire spread to about 3 square miles in only a few hours and had charred more than 13 square miles by Tuesday morning.
