AADHAAR-PAN Linking

First we need to pay penalty of Rs 1000

1. Go to incometax.gov.in and choose e-Pay Tax.
2. Enter your PAN and mobile number. Click on continue.
3. Choose 'Proceed' written under 'Income Tax'.
4. In the next page, choose Assessment Year as '2023-24' and under type of payment, choose "Other Receipts (500)". Click on continue.
5. In the payment summary page, you should see amount of Rs 1000 in 'Others' category. Click on continue.
6. Now here we need to make payment. Click on 'Payment Gateway' and choose one of the three.
7. Then confirm the amount is Rs 1000 and continue.
8. If it asks for your mobile number and email address, provide those details to receive acknowledgement message.
9. Choose how you want to pay. Use UPI for fastest payment.
10. Enter your UPI ID. Click on "Make Payment for Rs 1000".
11. Confirm the payment on your phone. You can download the challan after this.
12. Wait for 30-40 minutes before continuing to the next step.

AADHAAR-PAN Link

1. Go to incometax.gov.in and choose "Link Aadhaar'.
2. Enter PAN and Aadhaar number. Click on Validate.
3. It should show "Payment details are verified". Click the continue button.
4. When it asks for name as per Aadhaar, mobile number, etc., enter those and click on "Link Aadhaar".
5. You should get a confirmation message.

Adding Nominee to Demat account:

1. Login to your demat account
2. Go to 'My nominees'. It should be under the profile segment and you will be redirected to the nominee details page.
3. You can choose 'add nominee' or 'opt-out'
4. Fill the nominee details and upload ID proof of the nominee. After uploading the documents, enter the share in 'percentage' you would like to assign to the nominee (the nominee would receive this percentage of your investments)
5. E-sign the document with Aadhaar OTP
6. The details of the nominee will be then processed for verification and added to the demat account in 24-48 hours.
