I was racing the radar today. I knew a band of 1-3 inches of snow was coming, but I tried to squeeze this flight in before it started. I didn't quite make it—the snow started falling mid-flight, but it ended up adding a perfect atmospheric touch to the video.

The Flight: This is a full 360-degree cinematic tour of the town as the winter weather rolls in over the lowlands.

Historical Highlights: The Equivalent Lands: Winchester was originally part of a land swap between Massachusetts and Connecticut known as the "Equivalent Lands." It was granted as "Arlington" by Massachusetts before finally becoming part of New Hampshire and being incorporated as Winchester in 1753.

Two Covered Bridges: The town is famous for the Ashuelot River and its two historic covered bridges: the Ashuelot Bridge and the Coombs Bridge. Both are iconic structures that define the landscape.

The Speedpark: Winchester is known regionally as a hub for racing, home to the Winchester Speedpark. It brings a high-energy vibe to what is otherwise a quiet, agricultural border town.

Now, those of you who are keeping track – Winchester is number 171 on the list of 247 New Hampshire towns. Only 170 to go!
