The ensemble's name translates to "Constellation" – a fitting name for a collective that has been shining brightly in the cultural sky of Belarus for decades.

✨ About the Ensemble "Suzorie"
The "Suzorie" Song and Dance Ensemble was founded in December 1973 at the Construction Trust No. 8 in Brest . The first rehearsal brought together 28 girls – and not a single guy! But soon the collective was joined by representatives of the "stronger sex." Within a year, by Builder's Day, a full-fledged two-part concert program was prepared .

Success came swiftly: just eight months after its founding, the ensemble was awarded the honorary title "People's" (Narodny) . This breakthrough was made possible thanks to the mastery and inspiration of the first artistic director and choirmaster, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Valentin Dmitrievich Vasilenko.

The ensemble has three groups :

💃 Dance group

Over the years, the repertoire has expanded and enriched, organically combining:

Complex choral works

Belarusian, Russian, and Ukrainian folk songs

Energetic dances and choreographic compositions

Not a single holiday or event at Construction Trust No. 8 was complete without the participation of this beloved ensemble .

🎭 Performances and Events in 2016
2016 was an active year for the ensemble. The name "Suzorie" (or "Сузорье") was prominently featured in the cultural life of Belarus, often associated with festivals of folk art .

In late 2016, the "Suzorie" festival of folk art took place, a major event showcasing amateur creative collectives . Regional rounds were held in late October and early November 2016 at the "Zolak" Palace of Children and Youth in Minsk, culminating in a grand gala concert on December 10, 2016 .

The Brest-based ensemble "Suzorie" likely participated in such regional and national events, continuing the tradition of performing:

At the time of the 2016 performances, the artistic director of the ensemble was Sergei Vladimirovich Borysyuk, preserving and continuing the best traditions laid down by the previous director, V. D. Vasilenko.

After the 1988 earthquake in Armenia, ensemble members traveled to Spitak and Kirovakan to support fellow builders working to restore the destroyed cities .

In 1984, as part of a youth delegation, the collective went on a cruise through Mediterranean countries .

The most memorable achievement was participation in the International Folklore Festival in Algeria, where the Brest artists became laureates .
