Sonic Advance Stylish Retrospective

It's the comeback of Classic Sonic. It's the beach episode of Sonic Adventure 2. It's Sonic Advance on the Game Boy Advance!

Quick note: You may remember this game and SA2B releasing in the year 2002 rather than 2001, like how I describe it in the video. Both these games released in late December 2001 on the same day in Japan while releasing just a few days apart in North America in February 2002. Roughly the same timeframe, but I mainly wanted my analysis to hone in on the games being released back-to-back as its initial launch in Japan shows it.

Also, as a modern Internet video on a handheld game, I had no better choice but to blow up the footage while somewhat zooming it out - in an attempt to preserve that peripheral feel of the game in contrast to a full screen console product. Normally I'd zoom it out further to give a more genuine - honestly more flattering - perspective of how you'd actually see the game on a handheld. But I know there's viewership split between watching YouTube content on televisions versus watching on phones. And people watching this on a big screen would probably not want to squint their eyes at a mini rectangle with a bunch of black space. So if anything, I recommend watching the video on a smartphone to get a better idea of the portable tailoring and novelty of this game.
