Golden Jubilee Durga Puja 2023 by the Wales Puja Committee

In October 2023 the 50th year Golden Jubilee Durga Puja of Wales Puja Committee was celebrated at the beautiful Temple of Peace in Cardiff. Wales Puja Committee celebrated its first Durga Puja in 1974 and has carried on conducting Durga Puja in South Wales since including virtually during the challenging Covid 19 pandemic in 2020. This is the oldest public Durga Puja in Wales and one of the oldest in all of Europe.

This film was specially made to capture this heritage demonstrating everything that this Puja is about and what it means for the community. The film was made with kind support from the Heritage Fund of Wales.

All the filming and editing was lovingly done by eminent photographer and videographer Mr Vineet Johri from London.
