Setting up my first hydroponic garden in my apartment

I have been motivated to try out hydroponic gardening after seeing so many people growing food successfully with this method.

One thing about living in the Sierra Nevada foothills we don’t have the option to grow anything past October and cannot plant until middle of May. I would love to be able to grow food for myself indoors. I live in a tiny 450 sq ft apt and I am using my kitchen to start a mini hydroponic garden.

I am only able to afford a cheap made setup for now, but once I learn a little more I might venture into a better more efficient setup. I am prepared to have to work extra hard making it work since I know that it isnt the best made.

Aside from the parts being delivered with a broken section and having to wait another few weeks for a replacement it’s working out well so far. I also decided to make some alterations to the baskets as I wanted to be able to remove them and rotate other plants on a regular basis.

I’m excited to keep learning and will keep posting updates as time goes on with my new project 😊
