This is documentary I recorded over the months leading up to my second marathon, the 2025 Santa Rosa Marathon, which took place on Sunday, August 24, 2025. I hope this video will inspire others to run their first marathon, because, as you can see in my training, I am a completely ordinary person with no special genetic gifts or natural abilities. Instead of talent, I have discipline. Maybe, just maybe, some person will watch this video and change their life. I think if I could have that impact on just one person, then I'd have lived a worthwhile life.

Additionally, the race also raised $1,095 for the support of disaster relief in the American Red Cross. I thank the generous donors who contributed to the fundraiser campaign. You guys are amazing. Much love to all of you!

I'd like to submit the following correction - Diana Young actually ran the April 24, 1994 Big Sur Marathon (and not the Modesto Marathon as noted in the video) with a finishing time of 4:30:31:
