Gris is a beautiful platformer game animated in a water colour 2-D animation style. The soundtrack is relaxing and beautiful as well making for an incredibly unique and fun experience.

Gris is a hopeful young girl lost in her own world, dealing with a painful experience in her life. Her journey through sorrow is manifested in her dress, which grants new abilities to better navigate her faded reality.

As the story unfolds, Gris will grow emotionally and see her world in a different way, revealing new paths to explore using her new abilities. GRIS is a serene and evocative experience, free of danger, frustration or death. Players will explore a meticulous designed world brought to life with delicate art, detailed animation, and an elegant original score. Through the game light puzzles, platforming sequences, and optional skill-based challenges will reveal themselves as more of Gris’s world becomes accessible.

The first part is called Red because this is the only colour in the world for Gris other than black and white. She explores the world around her and collects stars and release another colour into her reality.

Too be honest alot of this game is told through visuals so most of it can be interpreted in different ways depending on the player experiencing the game. For me I honestly thought that Gris was going through depression and trying to overcome it but I have later found out that Gris is experiencing grief which is also evident throughout the game after looking at it from that angle.
