Описание к видео Veg Momos 🥟🌶️

Welcome to Episode 4 of ✨ #BasiccookingwithSaloni ✨ where I take you on a journey of cooking basic essential recipes with me ☺️

This is the ONLY Veg Momos recipe you will ever need!! 🥟🌶️ You must try this with my favourite Momo Chutney, it pairs to well ( recipe out soon😍 )

Here’s how you make them at home ☺️

Ingredients :
Momo Wrapper
Maida - 1.5 Cups
Salt - 1/4th Tsp
Baking Pwd - a Pinch
Water - 1/2 Cup + 2-3 tbsps (Lukewarm)

Momo Filling
Oil - 1 Tbsp
Mushroom - 1/2 Cup
Green Onion Whites - 2 Stalks
Carrot - 1 no
Cabbage - 1/2 Cup
Garlic - 3 Cloves
Ginger - 1/4th Inch
Green Chillies - 2 no
Salt & Pepper - Pinch
Sugar - Pinch

Process :
For the momo wrapper, add maida, salt, baking powder & give it a mix - add in the lukewarm water & knead until it comes together
Knead the dough for 5-7 mins until it’s smooth - cover with a damp muslin cloth & allow it to rest for at-least 20-30 mins
For the Filling - add mushrooms, carrot, cabbage to a food processor and pulse till they break down - you can also chop them finely
Heat up some oil in a saucepan, add in the finely chopped ginger, garlic & green chillies - sauté for a minute
Add in the chopped veggies & toss them well - season with salt, pepper & a pinch of sugar - mix everything well & allow it to cool down completely
Once the dough has rested, divide the dough into 4 equal portions & roll each portion thinly
Using a cookie cutter or a sharp end glass/ bowl cut out equal circles
Fill each wrapper with a spoonful of the momo filling - apply water at the ends of the wrapper & fold it into a half enclosing the filling
Stick the other ends of the dough with the help of some water - Watch the video for the detailed visual process
To cook the momos, you can simply steam them for 6-8 mins in a steamer or pan-fry them using some oil until they’re golden brown at the base & then add in a splash of water, cover the pan & allow them to steam for 5-7 mins until the wrapper turns translucent
Serve them hot alongside some spicy momo chutney & enjoy 🥟🌶️
