The idol of Maa Bala Sundri Devi is believed to be the 'Bal Roop' of Vaishno Devi Mata. There are lots of temples dedicated to Maa Bala Sundri in different parts of India, and one of them is in Kashipur. The temple here is also known as Chaiti Mandir. Its simple structure with a central dome bearing the idol of the Devi Bala Sundari draws thousands of devotees to its complex. Various trees like Peepal, Vat and Sahtoot adorn the temple complex. It spreads the air of freshness and rejuvenation and helps devotional minds to emerge in prayers for uncountable hours.

Apart from being a pilgrimage spot, Maa Bala Sundri Mandir is also scenic. It is perched at a height of around 430metre above Trilokpur Gaon. Some important points related to the temple are:

a grand fair called chaiti Mela during Navratri in the month of March, and
the structure of the temple resembles a mosque.
