Reason 6 Tutorial: Pulveriser as a CV Shaper

Reason 6's new effects have us all pushing the envelope with the new devices...

No, for real, we're pushing the envelope... by creating controllable attack and release settings for CV using the Pulveriser's Follower section!

This tutorial outlines a few techniques that take advantage of the Attack and Release knobs in the Follower section. By routing the CV through this section, we can affect it's "envelope" and shape with the Pulveriser. We are using an Alligator, sequenced by a Redrum to visualize this effect.

The basic routing concept is:

1) Generate some sort of CV (an LFO or a gate, perhaps?)

2) Connect your CV out to the Pulveriser's Follower CV input.

3) Connect the Follower CV Output to the CV Input of your choice (Combi CV IN 1 in this video) and route it to whatever parameter you like.

4) Use the attack and release knobs to control the CV and create a sort of "amp envelope" for your CV messages.

5) Remember, you are able to scale the CV before it hits the Follower with the input scaling knob and (if you use Combi CV Inputs) scale the CV after the Pulveriser has added it's effect upon the CV.
