Описание к видео How I Scored 99.08%ile In My 2nd XAT Attempt - Shreyansh Tyagi, XLRI Jamshedpur

Students tend to take XAT lightly after appearing for CAT. Why is that? What exactly is the difference between the two exams? How do you prepare for either of them? Is there anything different about preparing for XAT? Get tips and tricks to prepare for XAT in this video, featuring Shreyansh Tyagi, a chemical engineer who scored a 99%ile in XAT on his second attempt. Shreyansh is currently pursuing his MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur.

Summary of the video:

In this video, Shreyansh Tyagi, a student of HR Management in XLRI, discusses his preparation for his two attempts at both CAT & XAT.

Being interested in HR Management, XAT was more important to him. The key difference between the two exams is the section of ‘Decision Making’, which is essential to an HR Management profile.

To improve his score in Decision Making, he practiced caselets in groups to understand how different people think and how their thought processes led them to their differing answers. He spent ample time analysing his mock tests results so he could focus on where he was losing scores and therefore improve.

Despite getting a 98%ile in his first attempt, he thought he could do better, and so he decided to take the tests again. His efforts paid off with him scoring a 99%ile in XAT 2019, and him getting accepted into the prestigious XLRI Jamshedpur for an MBA in HR Management.

Key Takeaways:

1. Decision Making is what separates CAT from XAT. Practice Decision Making caselets in groups to understand different thought processes.
2. You need to be regularly updated with current affairs. 3. Understand the context and develop a clear opinion regarding current affairs.
3. Analysing your mock test results will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses, and you can work on them accordingly.
