12.09.21 A virtual press conference was held today to share reactions to yesterday’s resentencing hearing for Scott Peterson. Scott Peterson, who was found by a jury to be guilty of the first-degree murder of his pregnant wife, Laci, and the second-degree murder of his unborn son, Conner, was resentenced by the San Mateo Superior Court judge to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Scott Peterson had formerly been sentenced to death, but the California Supreme Court decided to overturn that sentence and send it back to the lower court for a new trial on the death penalty issue. Speaking at today’s press conference are attorney Gloria Allred, and Anne Bird, the half-sister of Scott Peterson, with a statement by Amber Frey read, who was the key prosecution witness in the criminal case.
