Dr. Mariam Georgis, Ph.D, SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow Department of Political Studies Mamawipawin: Centre for Indigenous Governance and Community Based Research from University of Manitoba, Canada. In this seminar she explored the meaning and workings of colonialism and how it connects Indigenous peoples globally. She also explored how anticolonial struggles connect Assyrians in the homeland to Assyrians in the Diaspora, and to First Nations in the Americas.
