Once upon a time, in a quiet countryside, there lived a kind farm owner named Ben. He had a small, happy farm with chickens, cows, and vegetables. But his best friend on the farm was a cheerful donkey named Danny.

Danny had big ears, a soft grey coat, and a funny "hee-haw" laugh that made everyone smile. Every morning, Ben and Danny would wake up early. Ben would feed the animals, and Danny would help carry baskets of vegetables from the garden to the barn.

One sunny day, Ben decided to go to the village market to sell his fresh carrots and cabbages. He loaded the basket onto Danny’s back and said, “Let’s go, buddy!” Off they trotted down the dirt path, past fields and flowers, with birds singing above them.

On the way, Danny saw a butterfly and got excited. He chased it in circles, making Ben laugh so hard he almost dropped his hat. “Danny, you silly donkey!” Ben chuckled.

When they reached the market, everyone admired Danny. Kids petted him, and one little boy gave him an apple. Danny munched happily while Ben sold all the vegetables. They even brought back a shiny red bell for Danny's collar.

As the sun began to set, Ben and Danny walked home. The sky turned pink and orange, and a gentle breeze blew through the trees. “You’re more than a helper, Danny,” Ben said, patting his friend. “You’re my best pal.”

And from that day on, Danny wore his red bell proudly, and he and Ben continued their days with joy and laughter on the little farm.
