The stretchy fabric makes these DIY bat wings easy to sew and comfortable to wear. There are two methods you can use to sew the raised lines reminiscent of the wing bones to make your wings extra realistic!

There is a free pattern that you can use, but if the sizes aren't right, the video explains how to draft your own simple custom-fit pattern to use instead! (read below for info on how to get the free pattern)

Here's what you need to sew bat wings:
•large piece of black non-fray fabric, such as spandex, with 4-way stretch. This means that it can stretch both horizontally and vertically. The size depends on the dimensions you plan on for the wings. You'll need width at least the measurement from wrist to wrist and the length needs to be about the distance from your ear down to where you want the bottom tip of the wings to fall. For my sewing pattern, you need a piece that is at least 155 x 100 cm (61 x 40"): https://amzn.to/3Q97r8k *
