The NFL is a strange, strange league, because as much as we have the generational stars, like Tom Brady, Jerry Rice, and LaDainian Tomlinson – it seems like there is a disproportionate amount of players that end up crashing out of the league just as quickly as their star is born.

Similar to the “one hit wonder” phenomenon that we have seen in pop music, these players for whatever reason – whether it be a coaching or system change or maybe even plain old luck – end up having one standout season, and the next thing we know they are working at the local car dealership.\
