I think its crazy that some people go through fertility treatments like IVF with doctors or providers that arent board-certified reproductive endocrinologists. Many dont even realize this! Make sure the person you see for infertility or fertility preservation is REI-trained.

REIs spend an extra 3 years training (after becoming OBGYNs) where they become experts in ultrasound imaging & procedures like egg retrievals and embryo transfers, and gain in depth knowledge of reproductive hormones and how to best stimulate the ovaries for IVF.

Theres an insane amount of advice coming from under qualified people- especially on social media. Self proclaimed non-REI wellness experts (many with huge followings) are getting it wrong even when it comes to the simplest concepts in our field (ie. pregnancy rate per ovulation cycle vs overall cumulative pregnancy rate )

VET your doctors. VET the advice you consume here.

Expertise and training matter. Dont waste valuable time on under qualified peopleadvice.
